You probably noticed that I haven’t uploaded any music in a while.

What’s going on?

The reason I haven’t been uploading is because of school starting up again. Since I’m occupied most of the day during schoolwork, I don’t have a lot of time to work on any music.

Does that mean you’re not going to make music?

I’m not quitting making music. Time is basically what’s stopping me from making music. But if I have time to at least get something done, then you may expect a new piece in a few weeks. Remember that I have a life too. You just need to be patient.

This is all I wanted to tell you. Thank you for understanding. :)

Well, this is probably one of my shortest announcements ever.

After some consideration, I’ve decided to allow my remixes to be used in Geometry Dash! And that’s it. Feel free to use them and I’ll see you!

I am now participating in NGUAC for a second year. Last year, I made it to the Knockout round but was eliminated. Now I’m joining again for redemption.

Also on an unrelated note, my headphones broke yesterday (July 18) and now I am waiting for a replacement. So I won’t be able to make music for the next few days. I don’t want to disturb anyone in the house if I were to work on my songs without headphones.

Anyway, good luck to my fellow competitors in NGUAC. :)

Where would I be without all of you? Even though I’m still growing as a music maker (and left the entire site without a reason), you guys have always been there for me since the beginning. And I never in a million years thought I would get whitelisted. That’s a dream come true.

I will be continuing to make music for everyone and I’m not stopping anytime soon. I’m honestly really happy I came back to Newgrounds because I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t.

Two posts in one day?

But this is actually very surprising to me personally as well. Today, one of my friends helped me get whitelisted. I never thought I’d actually be able to get whitelisted, not in a million years. But today, it’s actually happened.

A friend of mine DMed an elder mod in Discord requesting that I get whitelisted. I was already scouted. About 10 minutes later, he sent me a picture of SpKale saying “done.” BUT since I don’t play GD anymore, I needed proof. He, then, showed me a video of him downloading my latest song, Hopeless, in Geometry Dash!

I’m still shaken up about it. I never thought this would happen…

(You can only use my submissions from 2021 onward. I have changed the perms on my 2020 submissions. My remixes, especially, are not allowed for use in Geometry Dash.)

If you haven’t seen my song Anger, yes, I am competing in NGADM this year. I was a bit nervous about joining NGADM because I was already planning to compete in NGUAC this year. I was nervous because of time.

“For me, thinking of melodies is hard. It may take a few days, other maybe weeks, just to come up with one. No matter how long it takes for me to come up with a melody, I will use it. Sometimes I’m humming one day, making up something, and I’m like ‘I want to use that.’ Sometimes it just works that way.” - Description of my song Hopeless.

This is basically why I was nervous. Melodies just don’t pop into my mind in a snap, and I think it’s the same with most people. But what’s different with me is that it may take WEEKS for me to think of one. I probably have shouldn’t gotten ahead of myself because NGUAC starts later.

I’ve made my decision and I’m competing in both NGADM and NGUAC. Nothing’s going to stop me, not even the timeframe!

After almost a year of not uploading anything, Aether, a new song, has been uploaded! I tried to make a song not using any loops. However, there are some. I didn’t know how to make the risers and the boomer at the end of the song, so unfortunately, I had to resort to loops for that. But overall, I think it sounds pretty good, and I hope you do too.

Should I keep uploading music, or should I just quit Newgrounds? I honestly don’t feel all that motivated to upload here anymore.

Even though I am not making songs, I am still active on Newgrounds. Who knows? There might be a song coming your way soon. :)

I have to look back at the song on GD to make the remake accurate to the original. Is that weird?
